Confidentiality: Information Protection & Conflict of Interest

Information Protection: The CBDC South Coast implements a privacy policy consistent with the federal legislation (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act).  The Corporation recognizes the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of personal information.  There is an obligation to keep confidential all information by which individuals can be identified and protecting personal information held in possession by the corporation.

Conflict of Interest: The CBDC South Coast implements a conflict of interest policy.  Conflict of interest rules are addressed in policy, by-laws, and agreements with funder(s).  The Corporation recognizes the importance of integrity and ensuring confidence in the organization.  There is an obligation to prevent conflicts of interest and handle potential conflicts of interest proactively thus protecting everyone involved.  Any breach of confidentiality or conflict of interest either from board members or staff members will be dealt with accordingly.
